The little things that have made this winter spectacular...

First on the list is Alba Botanica Very Emollient body lotion.
A MUST have for living in Utah during the dry winter months.
This lotion works miracles.

FLEECE SHEETS... oh my, I never knew what I was missing out on.

Blueberries. I just can't seem to get enough of them lately.

A little series on abc... we have been watching all the episodes online.
If you haven't seen this yet, get caught up. You will not regret it.

The closest that I have ever come to wearing lipstick.

I feel like she is everywhere, and constantly on the radio.
Yet, I am not sick of it. I still LOVE her music.

Playdough... when I was pregnant with Easton, I was a nursery teacher for my ward at the time. To say the least, there an incident of a little one choking on the playdough. Freaked me out so bad that I have never had it in my house before. NOW that Easton is 5, I let him play with it and he LOVES it. Keeps him entertained for hours!

date night.

Yesterday was just a hard day. No particular reason. I wasn't feeling well, and was kind of grumpy, and the kids were just a little more crazy than usual (or so it seemed)... Anyway, when Dan got home from work, I immediately had to leave for about an hour to go visit teach.
Within that hour, Dan cleaned the kitchen, fed & bathed the boys, got them in their jammies with a fun movie for them to watch in their room on the portable dvd player before bed... oh, and he also made a super amazing dinner for just the 2 of us! It was so thoughtful! After dinner we watched a movie that he got from the red box.

Can I say that this is the best "sports themed" movie that I have ever seen? Because it was. I was also happy that it was a movie that Dan loved, which made me happy. I feel like when we do watch a movie together, he gets stuck watching chick flicks with me more often than not.

This was really one of the best date nights.

I loved it because,
1. It was at home, we NEVER have date nights at home. It was a nice change of pace.
2. It was cheap, and I enjoyed it just as much!
3. I didn't have to go through the hassle of getting a babysitter... just the mom guilt of adding an extra 2 hours to the ever running tally of how much screen time my boys get. And really, I didn't feel that guilty.
4. It was a fun surprise from Dan, and he made a big effort. It makes me want to make a big effort for him in return... and isn't that what being married is all about?

nixon's 2nd birthday.

On November 15th, Nixon turned 2.

We threw a big party for just the 4 of us.

I love this picture.
It shows that my boys have become closer in the last few months!
