Summer... so far

We started the summer off by getting a new computer! SUPER exciting for peeps like me that spend WAY too much time on one. An imac... or whatever they call it. Dan FINALLY feels like he can now officially be considered a part of his family, while I know there are parts of the world where my family (my brothers) are secretly disowning me for this purchase.

Our first photo taken by our computer... my favorite part was when the computer used the monitor for a flash. Awesome.

We have done a lot of THIS:

We have been hiking almost every Saturday so far this summer. We've been waking up at un-natural hours in the morning to go... it's been fun! If you look closely at the last picture you will see one thing in life that I HATE (spiders). I am posting this picture because Dan LOVES the macro bug & spider pictures... I also chose the picture where the focus is more on the flowers. I can only do so much to support his spider pics. :)

We have done a lot of THIS:

blogging for the soul...

I have such a soft spot for my blog. It mainly goes neglected. Blogging is good for me. Good for my soul. And it makes a much better journal for my family. I will still use my Instagram account (probably at the same frequency), but come january, I have goals. Goals to slow my life down, completely wrap myself if who I am today, and continue in my quest to become better than I was yesterday.

These images capture perfectly what I want this blog to look like.

These pictures were taken this past September. A post-party morning. Dan was at work. Easton was at school.

2020

Well my friends, it is now March 2015. 5 years ago I wrote a post predicting what life will be like at this time. But before you read on to how crazy-predicable my life is, I want to give you a little background to what our life was in March 2010. We had been married for 5 years, living in our townhouse in Riverton (that we WISH we could still sell right now), Easton was 3 years old, Nixon was 4 months old and Dan worked as an operations supervisor for an alarm co called Protection One...

Now read THIS (click on the link).

Did ya read it?? I love how vanilla my life is. I wouldn't have it any other way! Besides a few minor changes, it's pretty right on.

On to predicting further into my future :-) In March 2020 Dan and I will be celebrating 15 years of hard work to maintain a healthy and loving marriage. He will still be the smart, handsome, hardworking and most caring guy I have ever known. And at this time I can't imagine him working for any other company besides WireTech. I will still be doing my thing, mothering and photos. Hopefully by then my gardening skills will have emerged, because that hasn't happened yet! Unless something really unforeseen happens (and beyond our own choosing), we will be living right where we are. :-) Easton will be a TEENAGER! Yikes! He will be 13 and a 7th grader in Jr. High... holy moly. Nixon will be right behind him, a 10 year old in 4th grade. Not sure what the boys will be involved in as far as after school stuff goes. Whatever they want. Emery will be 7 years old and in 2nd grade and our baby (we still have no official name for this little guy coming in just 11 short weeks!) will not really be a baby. He will be 5 years old!! Yea... this game is no fun. I'm going to stop right here and go cherish my babies because holy moly they are SO little compared to what they will be. 5 years flies.

Emery's Birthday!

My poor blog... it has had some serious neglect the past few years!

Nixon is finally 3!

On November 15th, our little Nixon turned 3 years old!!
He was waiting so long to finally have a special day just about him! Easton didn't have his first friend party until he was 4, and I think I am going to stick with that for all the kiddos. Even though there wasn't a big party, we still celebrated!

His cousin Miles is the same age (only weeks apart) and he came for a sleepover, and Nixon got to open all his presents as soon as he woke up!

The morning was spent playing with toys, and after lunch we headed up to the gateway mall to the children's discovery museum. It was the first time we had been there, and it was awesome! We will definitely be going back again.

A few pictures at the museum...

THEN MY MEMORY CARD WENT CORRUPT!!!!

I didn't realize that had happened until the day was over and I tried to load them on my computer... so I went throughout the day, taking lots of REALLY cute pictures! I am really so sad about it, and it kind of makes me feel sick if I spent too much time thinking about it.

:'(

I didn't even get cell phone pics of the day.

After the museum, we came back home and had his awesome birthday cake!

I didn't get a get a picture, but it looked like this, and was soooo cute.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY NIXON!

Halloween 2012

Can I say how much I LOVE Halloween? This year was especially awesome! I loved spending the day with my sister, and her family! During the day Dione and I went to lunch and then saw the witches at Gardener Village. When the older kids got home from school, we headed to a shopping center and trick or treated there. This year was yet again a very warm Halloween, and that makes it nice that I could bring Emery with us Trick-or-Treating! After our early day Trick-or-Treating we headed down to my other sister's house for dinner.

What a fabulous way for a mom to spend a birthday.

:)

Cousin Jonah & Easton were the Army Guys from Toy Story. We got their clothes from DI spray painted them to match. They LOVED their costumes! Nixon was a "police cop". I already had a lion costume for him that was Easton's. I tried all month to help him get excited to be a lion... practicing our roar. Then the day before he was so sad that he wasn't going to be a police cop so we quickly pulled this together! I thought it turned out pretty cute. It fits his personality MUCH better.

Emery the Elephant! 3 months old.

The police cop & his robber! Dan is such a good dad... I love him for dressing up with Nixon!

Cousin Allie, the witch!

These 2 boys got so many looks & attention at the shopping complex. EVERYONE thought that they were twins, and that made it more fun for them!
