This past week we were able to spend some time with my sister and her family in Texas! We had a blast, and Easton loved playing with his cousins, and riding on the airplane. It was so nice to finally have a vacation this summer! Even though we were in Texas during hurricane Ike, we were lucky enough (and far enough away) to not have it effect our fun.
Here is Easton looking out at the airplanes while we were waiting to board:
(We had a little bit of extra time, since we missed our flight! -no special story there, we were just late.)
We visited the Alamo, it was fun to brush up on a little bit of history.
We went to the Rainforest Cafe... pretty fun place to eat.
Austin is famous for their large urban bat colony. The bats live under this bridge and they fly out at night, here is a picture of all the people waiting to see the bats fly out. It is definately something that you don't see everyday.
Dan, and my nieces Emma, Ellie, and my nephew Abram doing their own bat impersonation:
We also lucky, because we were able to come when Ellie got baptized! We were glad to be a part of her special day!
We all had a lot of fun!
Thanks to Shara and her family for having us, and for making it so memorable!
