{IMAGINE}

Easton is at such a fun stage right now! I love how happy he is, and how he makes every situation fun and playful. Especially in the last couple of weeks, Easton has developed quite the ImAgInATioN! He is always imagining that he is making a big bowl of soup when he takes a bath, or that he has spiders in his teeth when we brush them.
We were shopping a couple of weeks ago at Target, and he had an imaginary friend jump in the cart! Of course he had us promptly buckle his friend up so he wouldn't fall out and run away... and he has been with us ever since. His friend is named George and he is a monkey, so I imagine that he looks a little bit like this:

George eats every meal with us, and he especially loves to ride in the car with us, too! Sometimes he accidentally gets left in in the car and we have to go back to get him.

For a side note- Easton loves reading books! Lately his favorite book to read before bed is Max's Bedtime... So, I wasn't too surprised when Max and his sister Ruby showed up one day not too much later.

Along with his clan of "special friends", Easton is usually never himself either. He is usually Spiderman, or Lightning McQueen, or a frog... today he is a blue bird. It's actually quite cute, because he tells me that I have a baby bird in my tummy (or baby spiderman or whatever he is for the day) .

I have a feeling that I will be quite sad when his pretending slows down and his "friends go home"... I am already sad for that day!

Easton is super cute! How much fun to have a little guy. It's so cute how he imagines everything. What a fun age!
Easton is going to be a very good older brother. :)

Easton is SO cute! It was a VERY sad day when Emma's imaginary (prairie) dog "Pidge" stopped calling her up to tell her about the millions of 'puppies' she just had. Emma was ALWAYS in charge of naming them (she got a lot more use out of our baby name book than I ever did!).
We are having some disagreement though, about whether Pidge was actually a prairie dog, or just a dog. Because I remember the day she came into our family as follows:
We were driving down the street, when Emma was around 3 years old, and she cried out suddenly for me to "STOP!". After nearly having a heart attack, and trying to figure out WHAT was going on she told me to open the door to let Pidge, her pet prairie dog back in because she had escaped from the car.
Emma says Pidge was a regular dog (and her argument here is because how could a prairie dog have a dalmatian puppy, which Pidge had, even though Pidge wasn't a dalmatian either). She thinks I am confusing it with the time I told her about when we saw a REAL prairie dog at the gas station (Hmmm?...) Now, I will admit, that it was was HER 'friend', she should know. But, she also was pretty young (even if Pidge stuck around until she was like 7 years old or so. She was the most prominent and loyal of Emma's 'friends', therefore the last to 'leave the nest' so to speak). But, in ALL the years you've lived in Utah, have you EVER seen a prairie dog at the gas station? Or anywhere for that matter (besides the zoo)?
The moral of the story...This IS such a great, fun time, enjoy every minute of it. ~ BUT, make sure to write everything down so his imaginary friends can go on living, just as they are, long after they are no longer living in your house! If you don't, you may find yourself arguing with your teenager about the details of his imaginary friends in 10+ years from now! :P
