Happy Birthday Dan!

Okay, his birthday really isn't until tomorrow. But if all of my planning goes well, I will be too busy having fun to post any of this tomorrow!

I thought that since he is going to be 25 years old, I will post 25 things that I love about him! Sorry in advance that this is so “gushy“.

1. He is such a good Daddy, and Easton loves him SO much! 2. He is the most Generous person that I have ever met! He will do anything for anybody!
3. Every time I talk to him on the phone, he tells me that he loves me.
4. He has such a Bright and Happy spirit. It's hard to get him down. 5. He is such a goof and knows how to have Fun.
6. He has such a good Ability to make sense of my non-sense. (Did that make any sense?)
7. He knows the value of Working Hard and he has incredible work ethics.
8. He is not ever afraid to just be Himself, and have other people hear his opinion.
9. He always encourages me to become my Best.
10. He isn't afraid of a Messy Diaper.
11. He Loves our Heavenly Father and is an Example to everyone he meets.
12. He has such a Passion for the things that he loves to do. 13. He wore those silly Safety glasses because I asked him to.
14. He loves to be around Family.
15. He loves to be Home with Easton & I.
16. He is so completely Honest.
17. He was Beaming with complete Joy when he and I were called last Sunday to become nursery workers for the new 4th nursery in our ward.
18. He has such an unconditional Love and Respect for people.
19. Sometimes he reminds me of a Little Kid, it’s cute.
20. Sometimes he reminds me of someone being Much older than he really is, it’s cute too.
21. He made me fall in Love with him while we were Dating, and he continues to do so Now. 22. He is very Goal oriented, and is able to see the results of actions done now paying off in the future.
23. He loves Me just the way that I am, and I think that he Compliments me as a person.
24. He always leaves me such cute Surprises.

25. The Longer we are together, the better things become! I can't wait to Continue our lives together and be old!

Happy Birthday Babe! You deserve the best day ever! And lot's of icecream & that big chocolate cake from Costco.

Easton's 18 month check-up

I was a little late getting him to the doctor this time, but here are his stats from his 18 month check-up on Monday:

length: 32 3/4 50%

weight: 27 lbs 13 oz 75%

head circ: 50 3/4 97%

So, as you can see, he is still a little bit on the short side, a little bit on the chubby side (he still has his rolls), and a big noggin. He has pretty much been the same on the percentiles his whole life, but at his 15 month appt, his height was at the 25%, and his weight at the 50%, So there was a little jump. I am not too surprised that he is this way, I have always been a little short and chubby, and Dan was always the shortest in his class until high school. Isn't it funny how genetics work?

Easton is so fun to have around, we love his funny personality. He is always so full of surprises.

Nothing much going on...

There really isn't much going on worth blogging about. Dan actually likes his job more and more each day (thank goodness!) which makes the BIGGEST difference. He is also keeping himself busy with building his sister all new kitchen cabinets. They are going to look awesome when he is finished!
Easton is now 18 months. He is like a little kid now, going to nursery, talking and really interacting with other kids/babies. Yesterday and today I babysat my niece Quincy, and Easton loved having her around. He calls her "Qootsie". It's really cute.

And I have been keeping myself busy, too. Trying to get all our cupboards, closets and drawers cleaned out, and touching up all of our paint so we can put our townhouse on the market. Hopefully it will be offical by next week! It will be sad to leave Summer Village and Saratoga Springs (this little place with only one stoplight), we have made so many good friends that we love, and have so many memories. I am not sure where we will end up, but hopefully it won't be too far from the place that we have grown to love.

Say What?

It always amazes me when we actually figure out what Easton is saying.

The latest: "ba-be-ya"

Translation: "Strawberry".

Go figure.

Easton: "Colo?" (such a sweet tone to his voice)

Me: "Not right now Easton, it's night-night time, Colors are going night-night."



I put him to bed.



Easton: Through the monitor "Colo?" (still sweet)



Me: Just listening



Easton: Crying a little "Colo? COLO! COLO! COLO!"



Me: I gave up, and let him color.

He likes to get down real close, and concentrate on what he is doing. I hope this means that he is picking up on his Daddy's artistic talents.

...He was having fun! At least until he took a big bite out of one of the crayons. I don't think that he liked the taste too much.
